Vacancy for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who works well in a large team.

Term time only, 38 weeks per year. Fixed term contract, until August 2019, in the first instance.

Bucks Pay Range 1B: Point 7-8 pro-rata, dependent on experience.

Weekly Hours: 35 hours

Working Pattern: 8.45-3.15pm with a half hour lunch break

 

These are our essential requirements:

* Experience of working with children across Key Stage 1 in a School environment

* Recent experience of supporting learning in a Year 1 class

* Proven ability to support children in Literacy, Maths and phonics lessons

* Secure behaviour management skills to support the learning of all children

* Experience of working with small groups of children with specific needs to develop positive attitudes to learning

* Willingness to lead on the provision of small nurture type groups across Key Stage 1 to develop social, emotional and behaviour skills with children with a range of needs

* Ability to work autonomously, being organised, motivated and confident in one’s skills

* Experience of leading whole class sessions, covering weekly PPA afternoons

EYFS/SEN teaching assistant

Vacancy for Teaching Assistant role across Foundation 1 and 2 and SEN support to start ASAP

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who works well in a large team, to undertake two differing roles each day.

We require an experienced practitioner to work with an individual child with identified SEN each morning, supporting them to access relevant learning opportunities and then to work within our large Foundation 1 and Foundation 2 teams each afternoon, supporting classes as required, working with groups of children within each environment.

Term time only, 38 weeks per year. Fixed term contract, until August 2019, in the first instance.

Bucks Pay Range 1B: Point 7-8 pro-rata, dependent on experience.

Weekly Hours: 36 hours 15 minutes

Working Pattern: 8.45-3.30pm with a half hour lunch break

 

The successful candidate must have the following:

* An Early Years Qualification of Level 2 or above

* Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications (or willing to work towards these within the next 6 months)

* Experience of working closely with 3-5 year olds in a learning environment

* Clear knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum to both enhance and build on children’s learning

* Ability to identify, support and plan for children’s next steps in learning

* Experience of leading group activities within a setting

* Fully conversant with the school’s ethos on learning through play

* Experience and knowledge of working with children with Special Educational Needs

* Ability to use initiative to provide for an individual child to support their learning

* Flexibility to manage two roles across each day (morning with SEN child, afternoon in EYFS)
