Bedgrove Infant School is a large, four form entry Infant School. Built in the 1960‟s, the school buildings consist of a main building with hall, offices, music/drama room and staff room. Around the main building are four year-group blocks. The school also has a computer room, a library, and a training room. Outside there is a large Foundation Stage classroom and two innovative playgrounds. These playgrounds contain adventure equipment, sandpits, writing huts, climbing wall, a role play area as well as other stimulating equipment.
Nursery (Foundation 1): There is a Nursery Class on the premises, which caters for 120 children within morning or afternoon sessions, who are 3 between 1st September and the 31st August.
Parents can enrol children into Nursery from the age of two. There is one intake into Nursery in September.
Reception (Foundation 2): Children can attend Reception in the Main School if they are four between 1st September and 31st August.
There is one intake into Main School in September for 120 children into 4 classes of 30.
Years 1 & 2 Main School: Our school accomodates children aged five to seven in Years 1 and 2, there are four classes in each year group with up to 30 children in each class.
NOTE: Please be aware that a child in Foundation 1 (Nursery) does NOT have automatic entry into Foundation 2 (Reception).
There has to be a separate Application Form completed at the appropriate time for entry into main school.
The school’s admission arrangements are as described by the Buckinghamshire Education authority for all county schools. Arrangements for admission to the school should be made either directly to the school for Foundation 1 or through the Education Authority Office, County Hall, Aylesbury, HP20 1UD, the school or on line for Foundation 2.
Where there is an oversubscription the schools admission policy is applied, and applicants are placed on the waiting list held by County.
Please note that admission to Bedgrove Junior School for Years 3 – 6 is not automatic and a seperate application form will need to be completed when your child is in Year 2.
