Herts for Learning

Bedgrove Infant School is thrilled to be working with Herts for Learning to bring high quality, up-to-date training to Buckinghamshire Schools.

Herts for Learning offer a range of courses at their Stevenage training centre that we wanted to send colleagues too, however the distance to travel made this option unviable. We have discussed the courses that we feel would be of interest to both ourselves and other local schools in and around Aylesbury and have arranged for these to be delivered in our training room at Bedgrove Infant School.

The flyers below give you details of the English and Mathematics courses we are offering this Autumn term.

The cost for the training is very competitively priced at £60 per person for a half day course and £120 per person for the whole day. We can also offer a delicious, home cooked hot lunch for just £3 each, from our new School Kitchen which is led by a professional chef who used to run top London hotel restaurants! We will send menus out with requests for bookings when you email us.

Bedgrove Infant School

Bedgrove Infant School is highly regarded for its excellent practice in both Early Years and KS1.  The school was praised and recognised as outstanding in every area by Ofsted in June 2013. This judgement is supported by the school being very well regarded by key departments and organisations such as the DFE and SSAT. Senior leaders regularly contribute to Government consultation groups. The school is also a partner of the local Teaching School.

This is an excellent and cost-effective opportunity for staff at your school or setting to be able to see a highly successful school in action and to be able to take away ideas and materials that will support your own practice. Many schools from throughout the country and internationally have spent time visiting Bedgrove; time and time again practitioners refer to their visits and training as inspirational. Practitioners have especially welcomed the opportunity to share the expertise in outdoor learning that Bedgrove has developed over many years. During the 2012-13 academic year EYFS Outdoor spaces have been redeveloped to reflect and support the new EYFS. All workshops will provide the chance to view this revised space and to discuss the developments we have made. We are happy to share with any visitors, the stages and thought processes behind our developments.

For practitioners who may simply want to visit for a morning session to observe and spend quality time with an Early Years expert or with a Year Group Manager/Phase Leader from KS1 we also offer a bespoke ‘Visit Morning.’  These run from 9.15 am – 11.45 am and comprise of a small group, maximum of 8 people, who have an introduction to the school, time to observe practice where they feel would be most useful, unaccompanied, followed by a Q & A session with  those same lead teachers.  During this summative session any useful documentation can be discussed, with copies given.

3 hour workshops are priced at £40 per participant which includes refreshments.

2 hour ideas sessions are priced at £30 per participant which includes refreshments.

NB- All advertised sessions are individual workshops. In most cases alternative dates are offered and participants can choose the date that best suits them, but only need to attend on one of the dates.
